COURSE OBJECTIVE

To provide participants with the application of all clauses under the Employment Act 1955. The program will be conducted in a practical manner while focusing on application / solutions being provided to a Company.

As an addition, this program shall also cover the up to date amendments proposed by the Ministry with regards to the Employment Act.

Introduction to the Employment Act 1955

• Application of the Act and key denitions
• Difference between the Employment Act and other key legislations (that may overlap), ie. Industrial Relations Act 1967, Trade Unions Act 1959

9.00am – 10.30am

MORNING  TEA BREAK

10.30am – 10.45am

Modules under the Employment Act 1955

• All the modules under the Employment Act (15 modules – modules are enclosed herewith) will be covered under this Part. This includes the denition and application of all important sections.

10.45pm – 12.45pm

Q & A Session - End of Day 1

(Continue) Modules under the Employment Act 1955

• Practical approach in handling these provisions – What is the solution if company is now practicing something against the Act.
• Alternative practice methods that may provide cost saving solutions to the Company

Morning Tea Break

10.45am – 11.00am

Proposed Amendments to the Employment Act 1955

• Several amendments are now proposed at the Ministry level. This session will cover how such amendments might impact the Company.

11.00pm – 12.45pm
